Firefighter Training and Continuing Education
My Florida Training and Testing Center’s (MFTTC) Fire Science Course Offerings are approved by the Florida State Fire College (FSFC)
MFTTC’s Fire Science Instructors are Certified Fire Instructors through Florida State Fire College and are also practicing fire professionals with many years experience which exceed the qualifying requirements. Students can be assured that the education provided through MFTTC will truly be a rewarding learning environment.
MFTTC prepares students for certification for each series’ listed below. Please note: MFTTC‘s fire classes are approved by the Florida State Fire College and we do provide certificates for each class, however the student must obtain the actual series "certification" via the Florida State Fire College and testing.
As an approved provider for FSFC,MFTTC enters students scores into the Florida State Fire College's FCDICE system, and students obtain their transcript from Florida State Fire College reflecting the courses completed at MFTTC.
Our Fire Science Program/courses are designed to be shift friendly and convenient to all fire safety professionals.
FIRE SCIENCE PROGRAM
Fire Officer I CertificationSeven 40-hour courses and three 16-hour courses (or equivalent) are required for certification.

- Firefighting Tactics II

- Private Fire Protection Systems I
- Building Construction
Plus the following 16-hr courses (or equivalent)
- I-200 Basic Incident Management
- I-300 Intermediate Incident Management

Eight 40-hour courses are required for certification.
- Fire Chemistry
- Origin and Cause
- Fire Department Administration
- Legal and Ethical Issues for Fire Service
- Fire Service Course Design
- Fire & Life Safety Educator I (or)
Public Information Officer
Plus the following 40-hr courses (or equivalent)
- Business/Technical Writing
- Micro Computer Concepts(or) Computer Literacy
Fire Inspector I Certification
Five 40-hour courses are required for certification.

- Private Fire Protection Systems I
- Fire Service Building Construction
- Blueprint Reading and Plans Review
- Codes and Standards
Fire Inspector II Certification
Four 40-hour courses are required for certification.

NOTE: Also requires six (6) years of fire service experience and an examination.

REGISTRATION
Registration office hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday and 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Fridays, or *online 24 hours a day. Course registrations may be completed via telephone (850) 769-1010 or fax (850) 769-1012. Payment must accompany registration forms. All courses have a minimum and a maximum number of students allowed; these allowances will be strictly adhered to. Please allow 10-15 days for confirmation letter. Registration forms may be faxed with completed credit card information or purchase order toMy Florida Training and Testing Center, LLC at Fax (850) 769-1012, or mailed accompanied with payment (check, money order, purchase order, or credit card) to:

The student is responsible for referring to the course description for course pricing, and textbooks to be purchased. Make checks or money orders payable to My Florida Training and Testing Center, LLC (MFTTC). MFTTC accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American Express charge cards for all monetary transactions.
Cancellation and Refund Policies
All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Only those cancellations received one calendar week prior to the start date of the course will be eligible for a refund. Any student who "no shows" will not be refunded. The original payment will be refunded as per My Florida Training and Testing Center’s refund policy. All refunds are issued by check; this includes credit card payments. The refund processing time is approximately six to eight weeks.

Please Note: A student can be dismissed, at the discretion of the Director and/or President, for non-payment of fees or failure to comply with rules and regulations.
Note: Prior to registering for courses, please visit Florida State Fire College's websiteand apply for a Student ID Number. This number will be required for our Training Center to update your scores with the Fire College, under your profile with the Fire College.
