The Challenge
Advanced technology training for hardware and software is critical to today’s engineer. Unfortunately, advanced courses are not always available in times and locations that meet the needs of the student. The hands- on lab component of these courses creates an environment where a majority of the students prefer Instructor- Led-Training (ILT) to online alternatives. Typically lasting five days or more, advanced technology training is not suitable for typical online or remote attendance. Additionally, high travel expenses often prohibit traveling to distant training locations.
The Solution
HD-ILT™ combines the advantages of remote training, with the virtual reality of being in the classroom with a live instructor. Utilizing the same patented Remote Lab Access (RLA) that in-classroom students are using combined with life-size high-definition audio and video, students at a HDILT ™ facility receive the same experience as those in the classroom. Instructors are able to see and hear students in the HD-ILT™ real-time, no difference from the “live” students sitting in their classroom. “I learn best in a classroom with a good instructor. With a tight work schedule, limited time and finances, HD-ILT met these requirements. In fact the experience of the HD-ILT with real classrooms, students and an instructor in three different states joined together by sight and sound with very large High Definition televisions exceeded most other classrooms.
